a nyc senior shootout
Feeling like you need a little adventure to fuel your soul and push yourself out your comfort zone before the frenzy of the Class of 2019 senior season kicks into high gear?
Then pack your bags and join us in the Big Apple as we tour the city with styled models and we shoot at some of the most iconic places in the world.
We get it, shoot outs can be intimidating and leave you feeling like it’s a scene out of the Hunger Games to get the shot you want to get! But we aim to have a BLAST with you as we explore the city together while giving you hands on posing instruction and direction. With a small attendee to model ratio, we will ensure that groups are kept small so that you leave feeling exhilarated by what’s on the back of your camera and confident you are heading home with images that will give your portfolio that little something extra you need to stand out to the seniors in your market.

A bit about me…. I am married to my best friend Drew. We have three children ranging in age from 3-18. So yeah, I've got a bit of it all going on at home right now.
I started my business in 1999 just a couple weeks after my oldest was born. I have had a lot of a-ha moments over the years in the photography business and sharing them with other photographers has come to be one of my favorite things! I have been described as a down to earth, free spirit but also someone who can serve up a “truth bomb” at times. My goal with my work is to add a bit of a narrative and take senior pictures that don't look senior "picture-y".
When a client of mine took me out to New York for her senior pictures a couple of years ago I had no idea what to expect. I am typically more of an "open spaces" type person but I immediately fell IN LOVE with NYC and vowed I would be back. I look forward to meeting you and showing you some of my favorite spots, some new posing techniques and a hopefully a helluva time!!
My name is Emil (which is prounounced Eh-meal, ya know like breakfast, lunch or dinner.) Most people wonder where the name Slice of Lime came from and no, I don’t have some weird obsession with limes. LIME is EMIL backwards! My clever hubby gets all the credit for coming up with our name!
I am a “closer to forty than I want to admit” gal living in the Harrisburg area with my hubby of 8 years, Jason, and our trio of black and white rescue doggies in our little 1920s bungalow. My friends and family described me as exuberant, eclectic, kind, fearless, silly, motivating, and inspirational. I just describe my self as a big dork who is
a lover of plants, coffee, music, travel, fashion/style, writing, and PEOPLE. I love to connect with others & photography has given me the gift of connecting with so many wonderful clients and forging relationships that extend far beyond the time they are in front of my lens.
Since starting Slice of Lime in 2011, I have grown to love the process of helping my seniors plan their sessions from start to finish as much as the photoshoot itself. My work is inspired by style, fashion, but most importantly my seniors themselves and I am beyond ecstatic to be partnering up with one of my favorite ladies to bring you this shootout!
